Medical Lab Scientist Full-time Nights

AdventHealth Fruitland Park ER is hiring a full-time Medical Lab Scientist for night shifts at its freestanding emergency department in Fruitland Park, FL. ### What you'll do - Perform pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, function checks, inventory control, specimen collection, and biological specimen processing - Conduct post-analytical activities such as results reporting and technical support for laboratory testing - Evaluate new laboratory techniques and procedures, assisting with data collection and special projects - Participate in proficiency testing in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations - Mentor and precept new employees and students, documenting orientation and training activities - Guide laboratory technicians and support staff, resolving customer service issues within established guidelines ### What we're looking for - Associate's degree in laboratory science, chemical or biological science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution (Bachelor's preferred) - Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (required) - 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience (preferred) - Ability to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and direct workflow with minimal supervision - Competency in maintaining equipment, records, and quality assessment activities - Strong written and verbal communication skills; basic Microsoft Office proficiency ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $23.71–$48.50 (approximately $49,315–$100,880 annualized) - Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 - Relocation assistance up to $3,000 - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one; 4 weeks fully paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan; mental health and well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Fruitland Park ER is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states.
