About this role
AdventHealth Castle Rock is hiring a full-time Emergency Room Nurse Manager to lead the Crystal Valley Emergency Department at its Castle Rock, Colorado campus.
### What you'll do
- Oversee staff performance, including hiring, orientation, scheduling, and disciplinary processes for the ED nursing team.
- Manage department budget and resources, monitor staffing utilization, and participate in cost-saving initiatives.
- Lead quality and performance improvement initiatives, implementing evidence-based practice changes and ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, OSHA, and specialty standards.
- Provide clinical leadership and bedside support, maintaining personal clinical competencies alongside management duties.
- Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and process improvement plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Foster patient, family, staff, and physician satisfaction while communicating effectively across all levels of the organization.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado (required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required); Master of Science in Nursing preferred.
- 1+ year of critical care or emergency nursing experience (required); 2+ years preferred.
- 2+ years of nursing leadership experience preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications (all required); TNCC preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic health records; Cerner experience preferred.
