Nurse Tech

A Nurse Tech (PRN, day shift) supports bedside patient care under registered nurse direction at AdventHealth Ocala in Ocala, Florida. ### What you'll do - Assist with direct patient care tasks including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and input/output documentation under RN supervision - Perform age-appropriate care for geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric populations across varying acuity levels - Follow CDC isolation guidelines, apply PPE correctly, and enforce infection control and safety regulations - Participate in obtaining nursing histories and report abnormalities in motor skills or physiological norms to the RN - Float between unit assignments and adapt to varying clinical environments as needed - Support quality improvement initiatives and practice changes driven by performance data ### What we're looking for - Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with at least one semester of Nursing Fundamentals completed, OR completed an accredited nursing program within the past year without yet obtaining RN/LPN licensure - High school diploma or equivalent required - Active BLS/CPR certification required - Knowledge of regulatory requirements and infection control compliance - 1+ year of nursing assistant experience preferred - Ability to manage multiple concurrent duties with close attention and mental focus ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hour ($33,010–$52,790 annualized equivalent) - PRN/per-diem scheduling flexibility on day shift ### About the practice AdventHealth Ocala is a faith-based acute care hospital located in Ocala, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system serving communities across the southeastern United States.
