What You Will Do
This is a great opportunity for a motivated Anesthesiologist to join an employed, highly respected department at Ascension Saint Agnes. Operating across 19 hospital ORs with a diverse, manageable case mix, this role offers an ideal practice environment backed by a robust health system. - Join an established team of 10 physicians and 17 APPs
- Call structure: 3 weekdays/month, 1 in 10 weekend days per month
- Practice setting: Inpatient
- Cases include OB/Gyn, Bariatric, Orthopedics, Plastics, Vascular, General and some Thoracic and Peds. NO open heart or complex pediatric cases.
- Employed position within a nonprofit health system
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
- Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care across a diverse and manageable case mix—including OB/Gyn, Orthopedics, Bariatrics, Plastics, Vascular, and General Surgery—while enjoying a practice free of open-heart and complex pediatric cases.
- Collaborate closely with surgical and nursing teams to design individualized anesthetic plans, ensuring optimal patient comfort, safety, and efficient recovery timelines.

What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Anesthesiologist credentialed from the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) preferred.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
