What You Will Do
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Nocturnist to join a premier, fully employed inpatient team. You will step into a well-respected practice fully supported by a strong network of on-call specialists and the comprehensive resources of our health system.
- Join an established team of 10 physicians and 8 APPs
- Schedule structure: 141 twelve-hour night shifts per year
- Practice setting: Inpatient
- Employed position within a nonprofit health system
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
- Document complete admission notes, daily progress tracking, and discharge summaries in real time to ensure the care team has an accurate, high-quality record for safe ongoing treatment.
- Direct the clinical journey for adult patients with non-surgical medical conditions from evening admission through discharge, ensuring seamless continuity of care and stable transitions into or out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) when needed.
- Deliver high-quality, efficient inpatient care by adhering to clinical guidelines and actively participating in the development of best-practice protocols that elevate department-wide patient outcomes.

What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
