About this role

A Nurse Tech (PRN, day shift) at AdventHealth North Pinellas supports registered nurses in delivering direct patient care at the Tarpon Springs, Florida campus. ### What you'll do - Assist RNs with hands-on patient care tasks including vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and input/output documentation. - Perform age-appropriate treatments and assessments across geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric populations. - Follow CDC isolation guidelines, apply PPE correctly, and enforce infection control and safety regulations. - Distribute and collect dietary trays and support activities of daily living as assigned. - Participate in performance improvement initiatives and support quality standards. - Function appropriately during clinical emergencies and float between unit assignments as needed. ### What we're looking for - Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with Nursing Fundamentals completed, OR a nursing program graduate within the past year who has not yet obtained RN or LPN licensure. - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Active BLS/CPR certification required. - Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific care needs across all patient populations. - Ability to adapt to varying healthcare settings and manage multiple concurrent duties. - Preferred: 1+ year of experience as a nursing assistant. ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hour ($33,011–$52,790 annualized). - PRN scheduling with day-shift availability. - Opportunity to build hands-on clinical skills while completing nursing education. ### About the practice AdventHealth North Pinellas is a faith-based acute care hospital located in Tarpon Springs, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system.
