What You Will Do

This is an exceptional PRN opportunity for a motivated Gastroenterologist to support an established inpatient team within a stable, nonprofit health system. This flexible role allows you to step into a busy, well-respected practice with full access to advanced endoscopy equipment, backed by the comprehensive resources of a robust network.

  • Join an established team of 2 physicians and 1 APP on a PRN basis
  • Practice setting: Inpatient
  • Mostly call from home unless there is an emergency
  • Shifts are ideally by week (Friday 5pm until following Friday 5pm) but flexibility is available
  • Employed position within a nonprofit health system
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
  • Fellowship training in Gastroenterology
  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient GI consultations, leveraging advanced diagnostic and clinical skills to manage complex gastrointestinal conditions and guide acute patient care pathways
  • Perform specialized endoscopic procedures, utilizing ERCP and EUS capabilities to provide precise, high-level interventions that improve patient outcomes and recovery times.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Additional Preferences

Ability to perform ERCP and EUS
