Base salary: $245,000 per year

This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) for Primary Care and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

What You Will Do

This is a great opportunity for a motivated physician to join an employed hospitalist team within a busy, well-respected practice. Working within a collaborative program that utilizes dedicated rounding and admitting shifts, you'll benefit from a steady internal referral base and the full resources of a strong health system network

  • Join an established team of 10 physicians and 8 APPs
  • 7 on/7 off schedule
  • Practice setting: Inpatient
  • Closed ICU
  • Employed position within a nonprofit health system
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal or Family Medicine
  • Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
  • Adapt fluidly across specialized clinical shifts, delivering targeted care either as a dedicated admitter managing initial workups and entry into the hospital, or as a rounder managing patients daily through to recovery
  • Coordinate seamless patient transitions and discharge plans in close collaboration with the case management team, ensuring safe, well-communicated continuity of care for patients returning home or transitioning to post-acute facilities.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
