About this role

Ascension Medical Group is recruiting a Neurointensivist to join its neurosciences team in Jacksonville, FL, with a focus on building a thrombectomy-ready neuroendovascular program. ### What you'll do - Provide neurocritical care for patients with acute neurological emergencies, including stroke, brain injury, and seizure - Develop and optimize acute stroke care pathways across the health system - Collaborate with neuroendovascular, neurosurgery, and emergency medicine teams on thrombectomy-eligible cases - Participate in building and expanding the neuroendovascular program toward thrombectomy readiness - Engage in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination within the neurological intensive care unit ### What we're looking for - Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology with subspecialty training in Neurocritical Care - Fellowship training in Neurocritical Care or equivalent clinical experience - Experience managing acute ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, and complex neuro-ICU cases - Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary stroke and critical care teams - Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain one ### What's included - Compensation and benefits details available upon application - Ascension Medical Group offers a comprehensive benefits package consistent with a large health system employer ### About the practice Ascension Medical Group is the employed physician arm of Ascension, one of the largest nonprofit Catholic health systems in the United States.
