About this role
AdventHealth Aurora Highlands is hiring full-time and part-time Emergency Room RNs for its new ER facility in Aurora, Colorado, with multiple shift options and a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors across all ED presentations.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for and respond to adverse reactions.
- Respond to code situations promptly, delivering interventions to stabilize patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure clear communication.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- EKG interpretation skills (per unit credential grid requirements).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and abstract clinical reasoning abilities.
