What You Will Do
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated IM or FM Hospitalist to join an established, clinician-led day team within the Ascension Milwaukee Hospitals network.
- Collaborative Day Team: Join a robust daytime cohort of seven rounders, supported by a dedicated overnight duo, ensuring a manageable daily encounter goal of 16–18 patients and a strong peer-to-peer partnership.
- Lead Comprehensive Rounding: Evaluate and treat a diverse patient panel with precision, acting as the primary attending physician to drive high-quality medical outcomes and steady recoveries.
- Mentor the Next Generation: Drive academic excellence by teaching and mentoring residents during every shift, fostering an environment of continuous learning and clinical leadership.
- Focus on Medical Management: Benefit from a closed ICU model where dedicated Intensivists lead all codes and procedures, allowing you to focus your expertise entirely on complex medical rounding and diagnostic accuracy.
- Champion Quality & Efficiency: Partner with the medical staff to improve cost-effectiveness and patient safety, earning eligibility for a 2.5% annual quality metric bonus and seniority rewards.
- Document the Patient Journey: Capture the clinical story through accurate documentation, ensuring seamless communication across the 300-bed facility and the broader integrated network.
Additional Preferences
- Board Certification/Eligibility: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Licensure: Eligible for Wisconsin state medical licensure and DEA registration.

What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
