Interim Chief Medical Officer

Ascension Medical Group is recruiting an Interim Chief Medical Officer to provide executive clinical leadership across its hospital operations in Milwaukee, WI. ### What you'll do - Establish and execute clinical vision and strategy across the medical group - Oversee quality improvement initiatives to advance patient safety and outcomes - Lead and support physician engagement, performance, and accountability - Partner with administrative leadership to align clinical and operational goals - Champion evidence-based practices and regulatory compliance across care settings ### What we're looking for - MD or DO with active, unrestricted Wisconsin medical license (or eligibility) - Board certification in a clinical specialty - Demonstrated experience in physician leadership, quality improvement, or healthcare administration - Prior CMO, VPMA, or comparable executive clinical role preferred - Strong background in healthcare delivery transformation and stakeholder engagement ### What's included - Competitive interim/contract compensation commensurate with executive scope - Malpractice coverage provided ### About the practice Ascension Medical Group is the employed physician arm of Ascension, one of the largest nonprofit Catholic health systems in the United States.
