AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hosting a hiring event on June 3rd for Registered Nurses (RN) and Patient Care Technicians (PCT/CNA) at its acute care hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and evolving outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and documenting accurately.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies to support understanding and compliance.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care and maintain effective communication across the team.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilizing interventions and supervising delegated care for quality and efficiency.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Associate's degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required at time of hire.
- For PCT roles: high school diploma or GED required; CNA/Patient Care Tech certification preferred.
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred (new graduates considered).
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with effective written and verbal communication.
- Specialty certifications (TNCC, CCRN, ONS, SCRN, NRP, etc.) preferred depending on unit placement.
