Chief Medical Officer

Ascension Medical Group is hiring a Chief Medical Officer to provide executive clinical leadership across its operations in Elk Grove Village, IL. ### What you'll do - Set and advance the clinical vision and strategic direction for Ascension Medical Group - Oversee day-to-day clinical activities and operational performance across the organization - Implement and monitor strategic goals in alignment with organizational priorities - Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to clinical standards - Serve as the primary liaison between medical staff and executive leadership - Ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety across all care delivery settings ### What we're looking for - MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Illinois medical license - Board certification in a clinical specialty recognized by ABMS or AOA - Demonstrated experience in physician leadership, medical management, or healthcare administration - Track record of leading quality improvement or patient safety programs - Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills - Experience working within a large health system or medical group preferred ### What's included - Compensation details available upon application - Comprehensive benefits package through Ascension Health - Malpractice coverage provided - Leadership development and continuing medical education support ### About the practice Ascension Medical Group is the employed physician enterprise of Ascension, one of the largest nonprofit Catholic health systems in the United States.
