<p>A growing Neurosurgery program in Mansfield, Texas is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider — Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant — to join a high-autonomy, multidisciplinary surgical team. This full-time, Monday–Friday position spans both inpatient and outpatient settings, offering comprehensive involvement across the full continuum of neurosurgical care.</p>

<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; may require occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation</li> <li>Practice spans inpatient and outpatient settings including ICU, step-down units, surgical floors, and outpatient clinic</li> <li>Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-operative history and physical examinations for neurosurgery patients</li> <li>First assist in the OR and perform procedures within scope of practice and privileging</li> <li>Participate in daily surgical rounds, presenting patient updates and contributing to treatment planning</li> <li>Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic studies including labs and imaging</li> <li>Manage acute and chronic conditions, consulting specialists as needed</li> <li>Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, surgical procedures, risks, discharge instructions, and follow-up care</li> <li>Collaborate with neurosurgeons, intensivists, nursing staff, and other APPs in a team-based care model</li> <li>Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record</li> <li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and continuing education</li> </ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program</li> <li>Current, unencumbered Texas NP or PA license</li> <li>Board certification required</li> <li>BLS and ACLS certification required</li> <li>DEA registration required</li> <li>Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a surgical APP; prior neurosurgery, critical care, or related surgical specialty experience highly preferred</li> <li>Demonstrated experience with pre- and post-operative management of complex surgical patients</li> </ul>
