What You Will Do
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Colorectal Surgeon to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
- The Team & Structure: Join an established, high-performing specialist team consisting of 1 other physician and 1 Nurse Practitioner.
- Call Structure: Maintain an equitable 1:2 call schedule with minimal call disruption.
- Practice Setting: Work within a dynamic, mixed care setting encompassing both inpatient surgical services and outpatient clinical practice.
- Modern Practice Environment: Provide care within a newly renovated, modern outpatient clinic conveniently located near the main hospital campus.
- Surgical Facilities: Perform surgeries across multiple top-tier settings, utilizing both the main hospital campus at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville and our premier ambulatory surgery center, Surgicare.
- Investment & Ownership: Seize the rewarding opportunity to achieve physician membership and investment equity in the Surgicare ambulatory surgery center.
- Technology & Systems: Leverage an integrated suite of clinical software including AthenaHealth, Sunrise Clinical Manager, and IM Bills, with comprehensive training fully provided.
- Drive Clinical Excellence: Lead clinical delivery through evidence-based decision-making to secure top-tier quality outcomes and consistently exceed patient satisfaction standards.
- Enhance Patient Access: Streamline advanced colorectal interventions to elevate clinical performance near the top of the Ascension Medical Group (AMG) Indiana network.
- Foster Future Talent: Engage in active academic mentorship, educating and training mid-level learners and medical students from the Indiana University School of Medicine - Evansville, the University of Southern Indiana, and the University of Evansville.
- Operational Leadership: Participate as an active collaborator in designing, refining, and optimizing office policies and clinical workflows to maximize operational efficiency.
- Position Requirements: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) and hold or be eligible for an unrestricted Indiana medical license.

What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local credentialing office.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Verified by local credentialing office.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
