About this role
Ascension Medical Group is hiring a Consult Liaison Psychiatrist to join the inpatient team at Ascension Seton in Austin, TX.
### What you'll do
- Provide psychiatric consultation to patients admitted across medical and surgical services
- Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams on complex cases
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Support safe transitions of care and discharge planning for psychiatrically complex patients
- Contribute to a collegial, team-based care environment within the hospital system
### What we're looking for
- MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
- Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience or training in consultation-liaison psychiatry preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care
