Facility: Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, Dell Children's Medical Center | Ascension Seton Williamson

Schedule: Part-time

Base Salary: Hourly $150-200/hr

Malpractice coverage with tail

$3500 CME yearly, 2.5 CME days | Part-time

  • Shape the foundational culture of this brand-new flagship program, actively contributing to the work-flows and growth of our inaugural OB hospitalist service line.
  • Champion patient safety and satisfaction through seamless, round-the-clock continuity of care, ensuring every patient experiences a safe and supportive birth journey.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, evidence-based interventions for complex and high-acuity cases across our regional facilities.

About the Practice

  • Practice Setting: Inpatient only
  • Employed physician within a nonprofit Catholic health system
  • Choice of 3 initial sites with high, medium, and low acuity
  • Part-time 60 hours/month
  • NICU staffed with Dell Children's Neonatologists
  • Serving the Austin proper population of approximately 1.02 million and Round Rock population of 142,000

Additional Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by ABOG
  • Current Texas medical license (or eligibility) and DEA registration by start date
  • Prior experience as an OB hospitalist or in high-acuity obstetrics preferred but not required.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
