Practice Highlights
- Full-time, day-shift schedule on a Medical-Surgical unit within an acute care hospital
- Direct clinical patient care with per-shift accountability for assigned patient panels
- Responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process
- Supervision of staff to whom appropriate care is delegated
- Accountable to the CNO for quality, safety, and appropriate resource management
- Medication administration per hospital policy with emphasis on safety and timeliness
- Care delivery aligned with established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control
- Active role in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster events
- Regional referral catchment serving the Rio Grande Valley — a large, medically underserved population with meaningful community impact

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Current Texas RN licensure or eligibility to obtain
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP required if applicable per corporate policy for the unit of hire
- Recent acute care experience preferred
