St. Mary's Medical Center, a 420-bed Level I Trauma Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, is recruiting a per diem Medical Lab Scientist II (MLS) to join its clinical laboratory team. This is a rotating per diem position at one of Palm Beach County's most comprehensive acute care facilities — a hospital with more than 80 years of regional service, a state-designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and a Level III NICU on campus. The lab supports a high-acuity, high-volume patient population across adult and pediatric service lines, including the only dedicated children's hospital between Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.

Practice Highlights
- Per diem, rotating schedule across laboratory departments
- Performs both automated and manual patient testing on blood, tissue, and body fluids
- Operates instruments and equipment in accordance with approved policies and procedures

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology — or equivalent qualification as defined by 42 CFR 493.1489 or 42 CFR 493.1491 (including qualifying military training or a satisfactory HHS examination grade achieved prior to 2/28/92)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a medical technologist in an acute care facility; OR 1 year of acute care medical technologist experience combined with a Master's degree
- Active Clinical Laboratory Technologist license required
- Qualifications must meet CLIA high-complexity testing criteria
