The Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida is recruiting a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support physician operations within one of the country's most recognized centers for congenital, developmental, and post-traumatic orthopedic reconstruction. This is a clinical support role embedded in a specialty practice that serves a global patient population — children and adults — with a philosophy centered on limb preservation, joint reconstruction, and restoration of function.   • Treatment philosophy emphasizing reconstruction over amputation, limb and joint preservation, and functional restoration
  • Direct physician support role: assist with daily office operations, patient exams, procedures, and patient education under physician supervision
  • Triage responsibilities include monitoring and recording vitals for all visiting patients
  • Clinical procedures include EKG and phlebotomy as applicable
  • Responsible for accurate medical documentation of all office visits
  • Cross-functional coverage: ability to assist office and scheduling coordinators in their absence as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program required; three years of relevant healthcare work experience accepted in lieu of formal program completion
  • Active Medical Assistant certification required through one of the following bodies: NHA, AAMA, AMT (Registered Medical Assistant), NCCT, ARMA, or HPRUS — candidates have up to 90 days post-hire to obtain certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum one year of relevant clinical work experience preferred
  • Comfort with EKG performance and phlebotomy in an outpatient specialty setting
