- Treatment philosophy centered on reconstruction over amputation, with a strong focus on limb and joint preservation and functional restoration
- Comprehensive, coordinated care model with an experienced multidisciplinary team tailored to each patient's specific needs
- CMA works directly alongside the supervising physician to maintain efficient patient flow through exams, procedures, and patient education
- Clinical duties include triage, vital signs monitoring and documentation, EKG performance, and phlebotomy
- Responsible for accurate medical documentation of all office visits
- Cross-functional role with the ability to assist office and scheduling coordinators as needed
- Patient population spans local community, national, and international referrals — high-acuity, high-complexity orthopedic cases
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program required; three or more years of relevant healthcare work experience accepted in lieu of formal program completion
- Active Medical Assistant certification required through one of the following: NHA, AAMA, AMT (Registered Medical Assistant), NCCT, ARMA, or HPRUS — candidates will be allowed up to 90 days post-hire to obtain certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum one year of relevant clinical work experience preferred
- Proficiency in or willingness to perform EKG and phlebotomy
