Practice Highlights

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical First Assistant program; candidates within 120 days of graduation who are eligible to sit for certification are considered
- Certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) through the NBSTSA, ABSA, or NSAA required; certification must be maintained via continuing education or recertification testing
- Must hold active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
- Minimum 1 year of recent operating room experience with direct patient contact and demonstrated sterile technique; 2 or more years preferred
- Active Healthcare Provider BLS certification required at hire (ARC or AHA); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire if not already held
