Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational/technical training required
- Completion of a Certified Sterile Processing (CSP) Tech course required
- Active sterile processing certification through IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) required
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required
- Up to one year of sterile processing work experience required
- Proficiency in decontamination, instrument assembly and packaging, sterilizer operation, biological and chemical testing, and sterile storage protocols
- Compliance with all PPE requirements and infection control standards
