Nicklaus Children's Hospital at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is recruiting a part-time Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to join an established, nationally recognized pediatric program. This is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center embedded within a full-service children's hospital that carries one of only 11 Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Center (RPPIC) designations in the state of Florida. The position offers independent contractor (1099) status, 12-hour shifts, and immediate access to full subspecialty backup — a high-acuity environment with strong institutional support and meaningful teaching engagement.

Qualifications

  • Board certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine through ABP, ABEM, or AOBEM required
  • Completed fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine required
  • Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain
  • Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Comfort with high-acuity pediatric trauma and emergency presentations across the full age spectrum, including neonates
