- Annual case volume of approximately 7,200 across a broad surgical spectrum
- Diverse case mix: neurosurgery and neuro-interventional, thoracic and vascular surgery, orthopedics including spine, general surgery, urology, plastics, ENT, GYN, electrophysiology, and endoscopy
- Active non-OR anesthesia programs: cardiac catheterization lab, electrophysiology lab, MRI suite, and interventional suite (neuro-interventional and interventional vascular)
- Extensive regional anesthesia opportunities — wide range of peripheral nerve blocks supporting orthopedic, vascular, and general surgery cases
- Anesthesia Care Team model: 15 attending physicians, 12 APPs, and 24 anesthesiology residents (6 per year)
- ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program with university affiliations — teaching and faculty roles available
- Call structure: 4–5 first-call nights per month (beeper/home call) plus 1 in 5 weekend call; post-call day off provided
Qualifications
- Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology (American Board of Anesthesiology)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency
- Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain
- Comfort with a high-acuity, multi-subspecialty surgical case mix including neurosurgical, thoracic, vascular, and interventional procedures
- Regional anesthesia proficiency valued given the breadth of peripheral nerve block utilization across service lines
- Interest in resident teaching and faculty engagement is a plus given the active residency program
