About the Community

Yuma sits on the banks of the Colorado River in the southwest corner of Arizona, positioned roughly halfway between San Diego, California and Phoenix, Arizona — giving residents easy access to two major metros while enjoying a distinctly lower cost of living. Guinness World Records recognizes Yuma as the sunniest place on earth and the least humid city in the United States, making it a natural draw for outdoor enthusiasts who take advantage of the Imperial Sand Dunes National Recreation Area, Colorado Riverfront trails, golf courses, and year-round sports facilities. The city offers high-ranking public, private, charter, and parochial schools alongside local community colleges and several four-year institutions within an hour's drive, and its cultural calendar includes annual festivals, a historic downtown, a Native American museum, petroglyphs, theaters, and visual arts venues rooted in centuries of Southwest heritage.
