Medical City Dallas — a 899-bed, nationally ranked academic-affiliated medical center in Dallas, TX — is recruiting experienced Physician Assistants and acute-care trained Nurse Practitioners to join its established inpatient Hospitalist program. The position offers a structured 7-on/7-off schedule with predictable shift times, a closed ICU model that eliminates procedural burden, and a compensation package combining a competitive base salary with RVU-based productivity upside. This is a high-resource environment with over 100 medical specialties and more than 1,500 physicians on staff, giving APPs immediate access to subspecialty consultation across every major service line.

Practice Highlights

Qualifications

  • Physician Assistant (PA-C) with current NCCPA certification, or Nurse Practitioner with acute-care training and certification (ACNP-BC or AGACNP-BC preferred)
  • Active Texas state license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
  • Inpatient / hospitalist experience strongly aligned with this role; acute-care background required for NP candidates
  • Comfort managing a census of up to 40 patients in a high-acuity, multi-specialty hospital environment
  • No procedural requirements given the closed ICU model
