About the Community

Plano sits within the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, one of the fastest-growing and most economically dynamic metro areas in the United States, home to 21 Fortune 500 companies and anchored by world-class institutions including UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dallas proper offers the largest urban arts district in the country, more than 300 live music venues, 10 annual film festivals, and professional sports across the NFL, NBA, and NHL. The region combines a low cost of living relative to comparable major metros, no state income tax, and a quality-of-life profile — from suburban Plano's highly rated schools to the cultural depth of the broader DFW corridor — that consistently attracts physicians relocating from both coasts.
