Qualifications

  • BLS (ARC or AHA Healthcare Provider) required at time of hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire
  • AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer for all Surgical Services positions
  • AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer for Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) assignments
  • Preferred: completion of a peri-anesthesia or critical care internship or formal training course
  • Preferred certifications by service area: CNOR (board eligible/certified) for Surgery; CPAN (board eligible/certified) for Post Anesthesia; SGNA (board eligible/certified) for GI Lab
