About the Community
Houston is the fourth-largest city in the United States and one of the most economically dynamic metros in the country, anchored by the energy, aerospace, healthcare, and global trade sectors. Home to NASA's Johnson Space Center and the Texas Medical Center — the world's largest medical complex — the city offers a uniquely stimulating professional backdrop alongside a famously diverse food scene, a vibrant arts and museum district, and marquee events like the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. West Houston in particular offers suburban accessibility with strong schools, affordable housing relative to comparable metros, and no state income tax — a compelling combination for physicians relocating from higher cost-of-living markets.
