Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall in Newburgh, NY is recruiting a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician to serve as Emergency Department Site Medical Director — a dual clinical-leadership role at a high-volume, award-winning Level III Trauma Center embedded within the Montefiore Health System, the nation's leading organization for population health management. The ED sees 55,000 patients annually across a 23-bed main department and 8-bed Fast Track, with 15–20% pediatric volume and robust physician and APP coverage around the clock. Qualifications

  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency
  • Active New York State medical license or eligibility to obtain
  • Prior or demonstrated leadership experience appropriate for a site medical director role — quality improvement, provider management, or administrative responsibilities preferred
  • Comfort managing the full spectrum of community ED acuity including trauma, pediatric emergencies, stroke, and STEMI activation
