About the Community

North Bergen occupies the Hudson Palisades in northern Hudson County — dramatic cliffs overlooking the Hudson River with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline, the Borough of Yonkers, and river traffic below. River View Park offers waterfront walking, dog parks, and iconic New York skyline vistas just minutes from the hospital. Jersey City, six miles south, delivers a vibrant arts, music, film, and dining scene along with landmarks like Liberty Science Center and Hamilton Park; Newark is ten miles away; and Midtown Manhattan is a five-mile commute across the river — making this one of the rare positions where a physician can enjoy suburban livability, low New Jersey cost of living relative to New York City, and full access to the cultural and professional resources of the metro area.
