Baptist Health Paducah — a 373-bed regional referral center serving more than 200,000 patients annually across four states — is recruiting a full-time Hospitalist to join an established, well-supported inpatient medicine team in Paducah, Kentucky. The program is structured for sustainable, high-quality practice: a dedicated nocturnist covers nights, intensivists own the ICU and run all codes, and two APPs provide daily dayside support, keeping physician census manageable and scope clearly defined. Practice Highlights
- Average daily census of 18 patients per physician — a manageable, well-defined workload
- Dayside hospitalists work 12-hour shifts; five physicians on daily
- Dedicated nocturnist on 12-hour night shifts — no overnight call burden for day hospitalists
- Two APPs embedded in the dayside team (shifts: 6:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. and 7 a.m.–5 p.m.) providing direct patient care support
- ICU fully covered by intensivists and APP team; intensivists lead all code responses — hospitalists are not expected to manage critical care or run codes

Qualifications
- Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine (ABIM)
- Completion of an Internal Medicine residency; graduating residents will be considered
