About the Community
Norfolk and Virginia Beach sit at the heart of Hampton Roads — a coastal metropolitan area of nearly 1.8 million people defined by Atlantic Ocean beaches, the Chesapeake Bay, and a vibrant waterfront culture. The region offers a low cost of living relative to other major East Coast metros, strong public and private school options, and year-round outdoor recreation including sailing, fishing, and cycling. Washington, D.C. and the Research Triangle are both within a few hours' drive, giving the area strong connectivity without the pace or cost of a primary urban center.
