About the Community

Virginia Beach sits along the Atlantic coast of southeastern Virginia, offering a lifestyle that blends an active beach scene with extensive parkland, varied outdoor recreation, and a rich cultural landscape including museums and waterfront amenities. The broader Hampton Roads metro — which includes Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Newport News — provides a large, diverse community with strong schools, a low cost of living relative to other coastal metros, and easy access to both the Outer Banks and the Washington, D.C. corridor. For clinicians who value coastal living without the price tag of the Northeast, this region consistently ranks among the most livable in the mid-Atlantic.
