<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Full-time day-shift schedule in the Operating Room of a 510-bed acute care hospital</li> <li>Manages daily OR operations independently under the guidance of the Nurse Manager/Director</li> <li>Coordinates and directs daily patient care operations of the unit in the absence of the Nurse Manager, including staff competency assessment and patient care assignments</li> <li>Assists with recruiting, onboarding, and training of new OR nursing staff</li> <li>Assists with scheduling to ensure adequate and safe unit coverage</li> <li>Prepares assigned reports for nurse managers and assists with staff meetings</li> <li>Delegates tasks to appropriate personnel in accordance with legal, professional, and departmental standards</li> <li>Maintains direct communication with Nurse Manager and House Supervisors regarding unit needs and incidents</li> <li>Serves as a clinical resource on the unit; provides direct patient care as needed</li> <li>Monitors and promotes positive employee relations while enforcing compliance with internal controls and hospital policies, including Target 100</li> <li>Comprehensive service lines on campus: Emergency Room, Critical Care, Med/Surg, Telemetry, Women's Services, Surgical Services, Bariatric Center of Excellence, and Behavioral Health</li> </ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred</li> <li>Minimum one year of RN experience required</li> <li>Active RN licensure or permit in the state of Tennessee required</li> <li>BLS certification required upon hire</li> <li>ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire (applicable to OR RNs)</li> <li>Prior OR nursing experience and demonstrated leadership or charge experience strongly aligned with this role</li> </ul>
