- Primary clinical site: HCA Florida Northwest Medical Center — 289-bed full-service community hospital serving Coral Springs, Parkland, Coconut Creek, Margate, and Deerfield Beach
- Northwest service lines include open heart surgery, orthopedics, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, heart and vascular, weight loss surgery, 24-hour adult and pediatric emergency department, maternity, pediatrics, rehabilitation, and women's services
- Secondary programmatic site: HCA Florida Westside Hospital — 296-bed facility in Plantation with a broad surgical case mix including general, orthopedic, cardiac, thoracic, vascular, GYN, ENT, urology, spine, and intracranial neurosurgery
- Westside also supports active non-OR anesthesia delivery in the cardiac catheterization lab, electrophysiology lab, MRI suite, and interventional suite (neuro and interventional vascular procedures)
- Associate Program Director serves as Research Director for the entire anesthesiology residency program, overseeing resident and faculty scholarly activity across both sites
- Responsibilities include curriculum development and implementation, resident assessment, procedural and clinical milestone monitoring, and constructive feedback and remediation processes
- Collaborative leadership structure: Associate Program Director works in conjunction with the Program Director, who holds primary clinical responsibility at Westside Hospital
- Direct involvement in medical staff collaboration and alignment of departmental educational goals with institutional objectives at Northwest
Qualifications
- Board certification in Anesthesiology (ABMS or AOA)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency; fellowship training a plus given the subspecialty breadth of the program
- Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain
- Demonstrated experience in resident training, supervision, and graduate medical education administration
- Active research background required, including recent peer-reviewed publications
- Commitment to scholarly development and continuous learning within the field of anesthesiology
