Florida levies no state income tax, which meaningfully extends take-home pay, and the county is home to top-rated schools and well-established family-friendly communities. Miami lies just 30 miles to the south, offering world-class cultural amenities while Fort Lauderdale itself maintains a more relaxed coastal pace.
