Practice Highlights
- Full-time, day-shift schedule on an active Med-Surg nursing unit
- Serves as the central communications hub for the unit — managing written and verbal communications among staff, patients, and physicians
- Transcribes physician orders and coordinates scheduling for surgeries, treatments, and diagnostic tests
- Maintains orderly, current chart files; assembles patient charts for transfers and discharges
- Manages unit supply ordering and inventory; handles special orders for physicians, patients, and nursing staff
- Supports patient flow by greeting and directing visitors and assisting physicians in locating charts and primary nurses
- Assists with patient care and quality assurance audits; prepares routine, confidential, and special reports
- Facility service lines include obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology (cath lab and electrophysiology), cancer care, neuroscience (Brainlab technology, stroke treatment), and weight loss surgery

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Demonstrated familiarity with medical terminology required
- Proficiency with computer systems required
- Previous experience as a Unit Secretary preferred
