The department runs 35,000–40,000 annual visits with continuous physician and APP coverage across three overlapping shifts, and the position includes cross-credentialing at four freestanding emergency departments. Practice Highlights

  • Annual ED volume of 35,000–40,000 visits; 2.5–2.8 patients per hour
  • 36 hours of daily physician coverage across three shifts: 7a–5p, 2p–1a, and 8p–7a
  • 36 hours of daily APP coverage across two shifts: 9a–9p and 2p–12a
  • Cross-credentialed at four freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs) in the region

Qualifications

  • Board certification or board eligibility (BE/BC) in Emergency Medicine required
  • Active Texas medical license required prior to start
  • Active DEA registration required
  • Comfort with high-volume community ED acuity including trauma stabilization, stroke, and chest pain protocols
