<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>PRN night-shift position on a Med-Surg unit within an established acute care hospital</li> <li>Direct clinical patient care with per-shift responsibility for assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized nursing care plans</li> <li>Oversight and supervision of delegated care staff on the unit level, with accountability to the CNO for quality, safety, and resource management</li> <li>Medication administration per hospital policy with emphasis on safety and timeliness</li> <li>Adherence to standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control protocols</li> <li>Participation in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster events</li> <li>Multi-service-line facility: obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology (cath lab and electrophysiology), cancer care, neuroscience (Brainlab technology, stroke treatment), and bariatric/weight loss surgery</li> <li>Nearly 50 years of community presence serving the East Texas regional patient population</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of a state-approved or accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred</li> <li>Current, active Texas RN license (or eligibility to obtain)</li> <li>AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP required if applicable per corporate policy for the unit of hire</li> <li>Recent acute care experience preferred</li> <li>Demonstrated competency in nursing process: assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation across a general medical-surgical patient population</li> </ul>
