Practice Highlights
- Full-time, day-shift schedule within the hospital laboratory
- Processes and tests all specimen types; reviews and reports results across high-complexity testing categories meeting CLIA 42 CFR 493.1489 standards
- Advanced troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Acts as a clinical and operational resource to other laboratory personnel
- Additional responsibilities include billing and inventory management, equipment selection, validation and implementation, and document control (SOP maintenance)
- Participates in training and competency assessment programs, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives
- Supports a multi-service-line hospital: cardiology (cath lab and electrophysiology), cancer care, neuroscience (Brainlab technology, stroke treatment), OB/GYN, and weight loss surgery

Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program (or equivalent meeting CLIA high-complexity criteria under 42 CFR 493.1489)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician
- Current certification through an approved agency: ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent
- Active Texas state laboratory licensure, or eligibility to obtain as required by state law
- Demonstrated competency in high-complexity testing and advanced instrument troubleshooting
