About the Community
Nacogdoches is one of the oldest towns in Texas, situated in the Piney Woods of East Texas — a region defined by towering loblolly pines, lakes, and a genuine small-city character. The area offers a low cost of living, a strong public school system, and Stephen F. Austin State University, which adds cultural and recreational vitality to the community. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy proximity to Lake Nacogdoches, Angelina National Forest, and the Davy Crockett National Forest, while the Dallas–Fort Worth and Houston metro areas are each within a three-hour drive for those who want periodic access to a major urban center.
