- Responsible for shift-level leadership: assignment preparation, priority-setting, delegation, and real-time crisis response
- Active role in staff education and professional development, including ongoing assessment of unit-based educational needs
- Drives unit quality improvement through development and implementation of performance improvement monitors and reports
- Shift duties include chart checks, defibrillator and refrigerator logs, abnormal lab follow-up and documentation, supply management, and room readiness oversight
- 24/7 emergency department on campus providing a continuous acute care referral pipeline to the ICU
- Additional service lines on site: medical/surgical unit and comprehensive women's care including The Nest labor and delivery suite

Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required at minimum
- Valid permanent multi-state RN license from state of residence required; compact-state license holders must obtain a multi-state license from their state of residence within 30 days of hire
- American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification required — must be obtained within 7 days of hire
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required within the orientation period
- Additional unit-specific certifications required within the orientation period (determined at time of placement)
- 2–3 years of acute care or comparable clinical experience with demonstrated leadership ability preferred
