Practice Highlights
- Specialty cardiac and vascular hospital environment — imaging directly supports diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular disease
- Works directly with Radiologists to perform and present completed MRI diagnostic procedures
- Coordinates day-to-day MRI safety protocols and procedural activity across departments
- Responsible for full patient safety screening: documenting history and confirming all safety requirements are met prior to suite entry
- Communicates pertinent examination findings to Radiologists and to care team members responsible for ongoing patient management
- Maintains proper protocol for use, care, maintenance, and cleanliness of MRI and all auxiliary equipment
- Ensures accurate and compliant patient procedure billing in accordance with Model Compliance and Ethical guidelines
- Provides MRI education and safety instruction to patients and their families as part of each encounter
- Hospital has operated as a leading regional cardiac center since 1998, with a highly trained staff and evidence-based treatment model
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program required
- Minimum one year of prior general radiology or MRI hospital experience required; three or more years of MRI hospital experience preferred
- Current certification from one of the following bodies required: ARRT, MRTBE, ARDMS, JRCNMT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT
- Current CPR certification required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to understand and exchange information using medical terminology with patients and clinical staff
