This patient-centered role supports a dedicated colorectal surgery program across both inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborating directly with colorectal surgeons and a multidisciplinary care team.

Practice Highlights
- Provides both inpatient and outpatient care under physician supervision, including new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and post-operative management
- Manages patient care plans, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications, and delivers patient and family education
- Participates in hospital rounds, discharge planning, and multidisciplinary care coordination
- Collaborates closely with colorectal surgeons, nursing staff, and other care team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Plays a key role in supporting the growth and development of the colorectal program
- Part of a network encompassing over 380 providers across seven hospitals and more than 95 ambulatory clinics throughout North Texas
Qualifications
- Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensed in the State of Texas
- Active Texas medical license required
- Minimum 1–2 years of surgical or inpatient APP experience preferred; colorectal or general surgery experience strongly desired
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment
