HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation, FL is recruiting a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a well-established, 20-physician anesthesia care team at a 296-bed acute care facility in the heart of Broward County. The practice centers on a high-volume cardiac program — approximately 150 open-heart and 200 structural heart cases annually — including CABG, valve surgery, aortic surgery, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman procedures, supported by two dedicated cardiac ORs and a full suite of off-site procedural venues. The 2-weeks-on / 1-week-off schedule is a genuine differentiator, and the South Florida location delivers no state income tax, three international airports, and Miami 30 minutes away.

  • Practice scope is focused — no pediatrics, obstetrics, or trauma
  • Anesthesia care team of 13 physicians and 7 CRNAs; close-knit group culture with staff ranging from recent graduates to 30-year veterans

Qualifications

  • Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology (American Board of Anesthesiology)
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency; cardiac anesthesia fellowship or equivalent cardiac anesthesia experience strongly preferred
  • Echocardiography certification required (perioperative TEE/TTE — NBE or equivalent)
  • Active Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain
  • Comfort with the full breadth of the case mix described above, including off-site procedural anesthesia delivery
  • Regional anesthesia proficiency for peripheral nerve blocks is an asset
