Practice Highlights

  • Per diem position covering weekend day shifts at a busy community acute care hospital
  • Responsible for operating x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs of designated body regions
  • Performs patient positioning and instruction for radiologic and fluoroscopic examinations
  • Adjusts x-ray equipment parameters — voltage, current, and exposure time — for each individual study
  • Enforces all hospital-mandated radiation safety precautions throughout every procedure

Qualifications

  • Active State of California Certification in Radiologic Technology required
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
  • 0–3 months of experience accepted — entry-level candidates are welcome
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills required; ability to document clearly and interact effectively with patients and clinical staff
  • Must be able to fulfill all essential physical and cognitive functions of the position
