About the Community

Tallahassee is Florida's capital city — a mid-sized, university-driven community anchored by Florida State University and Florida A&M University, offering Division I athletics, performing arts, and a lively local events calendar alongside a cost of living that is notably lower than Miami, Orlando, or Tampa. Residents have access to top-rated public and private schools, miles of biking and hiking trails, scenic state parks, and freshwater springs, with the Gulf of Mexico and its beaches just one hour away. The warm climate, strong community identity, and blend of Southern character with urban amenities make Tallahassee a compelling destination for physicians relocating with families or seeking a high quality of life outside Florida's major metros.
